Fakenham v NWalsham Parks

Fakenham away.

We travelled to Fakenham, where we had never won.  Their form was mixed and we were hopeful of breaking our duck. Mary replaced Mike in the team.  The hosts fielded a mixture of youth and older players.  Conditions were difficult with a strong swirling wind.

Rick and I made a poor start and were totally outplayed.  We never gave up and our opponents lost concentration.  We won two games in a row and continued to fight back for a 5-11 defeat.

Next door, Nick and Mary were locked in an even battle.  Both pairs had chances to take control but the other side fought back.  It came down to the wire.  We went down 9-7.

Another heavy defeat beckoned.  Rick and I struggled but managed to pick up 3 games.  Nick and Mary had a tough battle with the youngsters and lead early on.  The hosts clawed back and drew 8-8.  Another heavy defeat as we went down 23-41.
